Lightweight & wicking, these tops make outstanding cold weather base layers. One of the lighter members of the regulator family, the R1 is knitted with hollow fibers on the inner face of the fabric, both to reduce weight and to enhance wicking. Microfiber yarns on the outer face create more surface area, thus allowing the R1 to disperse wicked moisture for faster evaporation. R1's distinctive gird work texture creates high and low density areas, which both reduces wieght and bulk, and adds to moisture movement. The R1 is much more compressible than a traditional fleece garment of equal warmth.
