We recommend this one for climbs of Denali, or K2 or trips to Antarctica. The palm, inner side of the thumb, and sides are all two layers thick in Moonlite pile. The back of the liner is covered with three layers. Between layers of pile over the knuckles is a layer of 1/8" Poron foam to protect the knuckles from damage while swinging an ice tool.
